Privacy Policy

CSSPrep.AI ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered preparation platform for Pakistan's CSS (Central Superior Services) exam, operated at cssprep.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Account data — When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage data — We log which features you use (Topic Explorer, Writer, Evaluator, MPT Trainer) and how often, to improve the platform and personalise your experience.

Essay and writing content — When you use the Writer or Evaluator, the text you submit is sent to our AI service to generate feedback. We may retain this content to improve model quality; it is never shared with third parties for marketing.

Payment data — Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers; we only receive a transaction reference and subscription status.

Device and log data — Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security, debugging, and analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We rely on the following trusted third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
• Anthropic / OpenAI — AI inference for essay evaluation and writing tools
• Payment gateway — secure card and mobile payment processing
• Vercel / hosting provider — server and CDN infrastructure

Each provider handles data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in.

CSSPrep.AI is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
